The SSI / Analog / Serial RS232/RS485 IV210 Signal Converter with its SSI interface converts absolute position values into fractions of a millisecond into a high-precision current or voltage value. Fluctuating input frequencies can be smoothed by a switchable average value. This IV210 signal converter also converts linked signals (A, B) such as sum, difference, product or ratio. It is suitable for connecting SSI absolute encoders 10 ... 32 bits in binary or gray format. Optional SSI master or slave operation with various functions such as concentricity or bit blanking.

The IP251 SSI, Absolute / RS232 / Parallel Signal Converter is a small and cost-effective but extremely powerful converter for industrial machine applications in which sensor or encoder information in absolute SSI format is to be converted into a parallel binary, graycode or BCD format. The IP251 Signal Converter can also convert serial RS232 data into one of the above parallel formats. The IP251 Signal Converter is housed in a compact housing for DIN rail mounting and has 12 screw terminals and a 25-pin and a 9-pin SUB-D socket.

Short description on PR210:

The PR210 Parallel / Serial RS232 / RS485 Signal Converter is used to convert parallel data from encoders, sensors, BCD preselect switches or controllers into a serial data stream. Primarily, the PR210 is used when older controllers with a parallel data interface have to be replaced by more modern devices with a serial interface. When using the PR210 Parallel / Serial RS232 / RS485 Signal Converter, the existing, parallel structure and cabling of a machine can be maintained. In addition to this main application, the device can also be used for a variety of other tasks.

On the input side, the data can be either in the BDC, binary, or gray code. The input data is packaged in a serial protocol and sent over the serial interface to one or more receivers.

Short description on GI210:

The GI210 Signal Converter is an encoder switch for contactless, bounce-free switching of two SSI encoders on a SSI master. The compact device is cascadable with other devices and is easily mounted by snapping onto a top-hat rail in the switch cabinet. Typical applications of the GI210 Signal Converter are in conveyor systems, where a smart device (master) makes the sum or difference of two independent SSI encoders. There are also applications in drive technology (e.g. automatic roll change) or in the general automation of redundant safety systems.
